THE first thing to mention this week is the start of the car-boot sales. The first two commence on Sundays, May 11 and 25. Gates open from noon in the Recreation Field, Welland. Cars £5/Vans and trailers £7. Refreshments will be available in the Hall. Please park sensibly and obey the Safety Marshalls. (they are there for your safety and NOT your annoyance)
There is a quiz night on Tuesday, May 13 at 7pm at the Village Hall; £10 per table of four (to include light snacks). Bar available and raffle. Proceeds to go to the Blue Cross and the Orang-a-tang Sanctuary in Borneo. To book a table for this event contact Jackie Turner on 01886 832880.
The next event at the Church takes place on Friday, May 16 and sees the well-known Gloucestershire folk singer, Johnny Coppin (singer/songwriter) appearing with Keith Burgess.(violin and recorders)Tickets are now available from me in the Post Office (£10 per adult; £6 for under 16's) or from David Richardson (see below for phone number). Refreshments will be available.
The next Kids Klobber event is Saturday, May 17 at the Parish Hall, sellers at 10am, buyers at 11am. To book a table or more info, contact Jo Horrobin on 310256..
Finally this week, Saturday, September 13 sees the welcome return of the 40 strong Tredegar Male Voice Choir. Further information and tickets from David Richardson on 01684 592088.
