Bosbury
BOSBURY Bluebells. On Sunday, April 27 an opportunity to enjoy a memorable bluebell walk in the grounds of Bosbury House by kind permission of Nat and Laura Hone. The proceeds will be shared by the church and the parish hall. 2-5pm. Adults £4, accompanied children under 16 free. Afternoon tea with delicious home-made cakes on sale. Fairtrade tea and coffee supplied by Jenny Faiz, who will have her usual Fairtrade stall.
Guided orchard walks led by Gerald Blandford of Temple Court are also a popular attraction at the Bosbury Cider and Blossom Festival, now in its third year. In the parish hall, on sale will be local ciders, perry and apple juices, home-made cake stall, plants and light refreshments. In and around the parish hall, entertainment and attractions for all the family. Saturday, May 10 11am-5pm
On Thursday, May 1 at Holy Trinity Church, a concert by Lyra Russian Vocal Ensemble. This is their third visit to Bosbury and we are delighted to welcome them back again. The programme includes Russian church music, popular vocal classics and folk music, all the performers are graduates of the St Petersburg Conservatoire and are professional singers in the city. Tickets adult £10, accompanied children free. Tickets are available on the door and include an interval glass of wine or juice and nibbles, for more details ring Esther Kay on 01531 670634.
In the parish hall at 7.30pm the same evening, the annual parish meeting of the Bosbury and Coddington Parish Council. All parishioners are invited to attend and are welcome to raise any matters of interest or concern.
At Holy Trinity Bosbury on Sunday, April 27, Evensong is at 6.30pm.
