New community showcase
A NEW community event taking place in Memorial Hall this weekend offers residents the chance to discover exactly what groups and services operate in Upton.
The Upton Showcase takes place from 10am-4pm on Friday (April 18) and Saturday, offering visitors the chance to find out more about a host of groups, ranging from the police and fire brigade to community concerns such as Upton in Bloom, Upton Community Care, and the Upton Civic Society.
The event has been organised by Upton Community Pride and will be opened by Upton mayor Tim Perry.
