CONGRATULATIONS to Councillor Tom Wells for his opposition to proposals for a new Council Headquarters.
At a time of huge cuts to council expenditure on street cleaning, the arts, tourism, community safety and transport, the council should not be even considering such a move. The council is there to serve the people, not spend millions on self indulgent schemes. It's good to know we have one local politician with some common sense.
