I WOULD like to publicly record the excellent work that Jenny Lawrence has done in my division of Langland over a long period of time.
Her support of the people of Pickersleigh has been unstinting, particularly in enabling the local people of The Elgar Residents Association to start the regeneration programme and the Community Garden, despite the constant unhelpfulness of the Town Council. Her loss will be greatly missed by many local residents who always knew that she would fight their corner with them.
This is yet another cut the District Council are trying to slip by the public that will save money in the short term but the local community will suffer in the long term. Where is your moral conscience District Council!
