I WOULD like to write on behalf of the Brookfarm Octagon Committee, to express our appreciation for all the hard work and effort that Jenny Lawrence has put into both the estate and the Octagon Centre.
About 12 years ago the estate was transformed by the replanting of pathways, fences and lighting to make the area a safer and more acceptable place to live, and in the following years, through the offices of the Malvern Council Community Safety Department, she has been able to provide help and funds towards the running of the Octagon and particularly the youth work. This has brought much encouragement to the local residents and occupied many of the young people in various activities. We only hope that these activities can be continued as they are of great value to the community.
We shall miss her help and advice as she now is retiring from both the Council and the committee and so we wish her an enjoyable retirement and a well deserved rest!
