THE changing facilities at Malvern Splash are set to undergo a £125,000 refurbishment in December.

The leisure pool, changing facilities, toilets and cafe are will be closed for two weeks, starting from Monday, December 6, while the work takes place. The fitness centre and dry changing area will remain open as usual.

Contracts manager Neal Lewis, who has been involved with the Splash for more than 20 years, said: “Seeing the newest developments is really exciting. Malvern has a high quality leisure facility at the Splash and the refurbishment of the wet changing rooms brings everything right up to date.

“Over the years we have consistently had 400 000 people use the leisure centre per annum and with the new development plan we hope to see an increase in visits.”

Funding for the refurbishment is from Malvern Hills District Council and SLM, who operate the site.
