A CHARITY is looking for wounded forces veterans to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the United States.

Bike Tours for the Wounded has been given more than £2,000 by the Worcester-based Freemasonic Sabrina Lodge, which is raised at a recent ladies' night.

The charity supports all veterans who have been physically injured, suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder or live with a life-changing medical condition.

A spokesman said: "The lodge raised enough to send a local wounded veteran on a trip along some of the most beautiful, breathtaking roads in the world as a pillion on the back of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

"The trips have been running for the past seven years and are proving to be a huge part of the recovery process for those they have supported. Many have said that they wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for Bike Tours for the Wounded."
