THIS is Freeway, a lovely five-year-old crossbreed in the care of RSPCA Worcester & Mid-Worcestershire Branch through no fault of her own.

She is described as a very sweet natured girl who is friendly and affectionate.

Freeway is housetrained, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Ring branch trustee, Geraldine Haynes, on 01886 822083 if you would like more information about Freeway or other dogs looking for their forever homes.

Visit the branch website www.rspca-worcester.org for more rescued animals seeking adoption.

For cats looking for their forever homes, ring The Holdings Rescue Centre on 07484 905707 or call in to see them in Holdings Lane, Broomhall, Worcester WR5 3FP any day except Wednesdays between 11am and 4pm.

Rabbits can be seen by ringing the centre to make arrangements to view. Dogs and rabbits are not on site, but are in private boarding kennels and foster homes.

The branch is hosting a special Candlelight Night service at The Holdings on Friday, December 1.

This evening service will remember beloved pets who have gone to Rainbow Bridge, by reading out their names and celebrating their lives.

Mrs Haynes said: "The event will be an opportunity for like minded animal lovers across the county to come together and enjoy a pre-Christmas event at the end of the first year of the centre being open.

"It will be our last event of the year at The Holdings before Christmas and the first of its kind on the site. There will be carol singers, candles, mince pies and drinks."

The branch would like to know names of pets to be remembered on the evening by Monday, November 27. Please ring Geraldine on 01886 822083 for more information.
