STAFF from the McDonald’s in Malvern have joined forces with Newland Parish Council to clean up the grounds of the restaurant and the surrounding area.

A nine-strong litter party including McDonald’s employees and members of the council came together to spruce up the A449 and the surrounding areas to Townsend Way, and collected 14 bags of litter.

Ian Rowley-Callaghan of the restaurant said: “It was great to see everyone come together to complete this clean up and I’d like to thank everyone involved for all their hard work, especially Newland Parish Council. As a business, we understand the important role we play in making the area a better place. When local businesses and community members work together we are able to achieve so much more and this event is a perfect example of this.”
