DOZENS of animals have been released into a £70,000 deer park.

30 red deer and one stag were moved into Malvern View, a 100-acre holiday park, in Stanford Bishop, near Suckley, on Friday, May 12.

A perimeter fence has been erected at the site and the deer are allowed to roam freely around the park.

Chris and Gill Long, a couple who own a home at the site, said: “We’re delighted to learn of the plans.

“There’s no better feeling than to wake up each morning and look out over acres of open countryside.

“The deer park will make for a fantastic additional feature and enhance our experience escaping our everyday working lives.”

Danny Kaye, the general manager of Malvern View, said: “We’re delighted to further enhance our homeowners’ experience with the introduction of the deer park and wider facilities.

“It’s an investment not just in our customers but the region.

"For those that relish the outdoors, Malvern View really does have a lot to offer, from incredible views of the Malvern Hills and countryside walks to hours spent fishing at one of our three course-fishing lakes."

A member of staff at the park has been trained to look after the deer.

Feeding and handling bays have also been set up at the site.

There are specific viewing areas for property owners to see the deer and they can even feed them if they are accompanied by the estate manager.

Members of the public can also view the deer on fields surrounding Malvern View.

The park is on the border between Herefordshire and Worcestershire and near to Bromyard, Bishop Frome, Hereford and Worcester.
