A GUITARIST who played for Mott The Hoople is holding a concert to raise money for a blues festival.

The Luther Grosvenor Band will perform in Upton's Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 15, in a fundraiser for Upton Blues Festival.

Luther Grosvenor, originally from Evesham, is famous for being a member of the popular rock band Mott The Hoople from 1973 to 1974.

The lead guitarist changed his name to Ariel Bender for his time with the band.

The gig will take place from 8.30pm to 11.30pm and cost £7.50 to enter.
