A RESIDENT has hit out at repeated incidents of flytipping in a lane she regularly walks down.

Various household items were dumped in Dragons Lane, in Leigh Sinton, on Thursday, November 17 at around 5pm.

The district council cleaned up the rubbish on Wednesday, November 23, after flooding thwarted a previous attempt on Monday, November 21.

Luan Crawford, who lives in Halfkey Road, Leigh Sinton, says rubbish is dumped in the lane 10 to 12 times a year.

Ms Crawford, 43, who has lived in the village for 12 years and works as a dog groomer, says the dumping drives her mad.

"Quite regularly stuff is dumped down Dragons Lane. I walk my three dogs and ride horses down there," she said.

"I reported it on Thursday. It's dangerous and an eyesore, people think it's okay to throw rubbish out. It's so annoying."

A Malvern Hills District Council spokesman said: "We received information regarding the fly tip at Dragons Lane Leigh Sinton on Thursday 17 November at 5pm.

"Our team went out to clear it yesterday (21 November) but were unable to because the road was inaccessible due to flooding.

"The team will be re-attempting this first thing tomorrow morning (November 23)."
