TWO former 'Teddy Boys' are looking to reunite fellow members of the cult 1950s movement.

Dave Berry, of Fernhill Heath and Lenny Pressley, of Leigh Sinton, are seeking to meet other members of the movement, which they say was a big part in their lives back in the day.

Teddy Boys came to the fore in 1950s Britain, with the movement becoming synonymous with rock and roll music, as well as an Edwardian style of dress.

Mr Berry said: "There were about 20 of us in the Worcester area and we used to meet up in the city once week, mainly going to pubs and bars.

"I joined the armed forces in 1975 and lost track of everyone and I would really like to get everyone back together.

"I have made a Facebook group but not everyone is on Facebook.

I got back into the 'Teds' two years ago and started to do things again.

Mr Berry and Mr Pressley will be heading to Weston-Super-Mare on Saturday (August 27) with around 100 other Teddy Boys from around the country.

The group will be taking a stroll before having a rock and roll evening at a local pub, raising money for the Royal National Lifeboat Association.

Others are welcome to join. For more information search for 'We are the Ted's Suited and Booted' on Facebook.
