TESCO has recalled a slow cooker over fears it poses a risk of electric shocks.
People who bought the 3.0 litre and 5.5 litre slow cooker between 1st July and 31st December 2015 are being told to stop using them immediately.
The supermarket found the plug may unexpectedly break on a very small number of units, exposing live parts and posing a risk of electric shock.
The affected products have the model number SCSS12 / SCSS13, units with batch code between 150501 and 151031 and are fitted with KDJ brand plugs.
Model number information can be located on the white label attached to the base of the slow cooker.
KDJ plugs can be identified by the letters KDJ printed between the two base pins on the plug.
Customers should return the affected product to store for a full refund or replacement. No receipt is required.
