THE Malvern Hills Repair Cafe will be coming to the Cube on Saturday - but after that it will be at a new venue.

Tomorrow's cafe will run as usual at the Albert Road North community centre from 10am to 2pm, but next month's will be at the Friends Meeting House in Orchard Road.

Jan Dyer, co-founder of the cafe with her husband Chris, said: “Malvern Cube has been a fantastic, centrally-located and very accommodating venue which has enabled us to grow and build up a loyal customer base who knows that they can pop in for some advice, a repair or just for a chat when we’re open.

" We would now like to develop the catering aspect of the repair cafe as that is an integral and important part of the whole repair cafe experience, so we are experimenting with using another venue.”

"We have consulted with all our volunteers and the only reservations raised concerned parking as there is no large designated car park at the Meeting House.

"We urge customers not to be deterred by this. There is adequate parking in Orchard Road and the surrounding streets on a Saturday morning and the small forecourt in front of the main entrance can be used to drop off equipment and collect later.

" Repair cafe staff will always be on hand to help with carrying items to and from cars if needed. We hope that visitors will soon get used to our new location and continue to support us.”
