A WOMAN was sexually assaulted in Warndon last week – the fourth sex attack in Worcester this July.

The serious sexual assault took place in Cranham Drive on Thursday (July 23) between 3pm and 4pm.

The victim was having a conversation with the suspect before he attacked her.

A 34-year-old man from Worcester has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault by penetration.

He has been released on bail until Sunday, August 2, whilst the investigation continues.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are particularly keen to speak to a woman with a baby in a pram and a young girl who was seen in the area at the time.

This latest incident comes after a woman was raped in Worcester Woods Country Park on Thursday, July 9, a girl was sexually assaulted in Tunnel Hill on Friday, July 17, and an 18-year-old woman was attacked in Diglis on Saturday, July 18.

No-one has been charged in connection with the first three offences.
