A REWARD has now been offered for the return of the Nanteos Cup which stolen in a burglary at a home in Weston Under Penyard near Ross on Wye.
The theft happened between 9.30am on Monday, July 7 and 9.30am on Monday, July 14 last year.
The family who own the Nanteos Cup are now offering a reward for its safe return and information leading to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the offender or offenders.
The cup is a medieval mazer bowl, a wooden cup/chalice, widely regarded as the Welsh Holy Grail.
It is a dark wood cup and was kept in a blue velvet bag.
The family are offering £1,000 and West Mercia Police are offering an additional £1,000 for the safe return of the cup and information leading to the arrest and subsequent conviction of the offender or offenders.
Anyone with any information about the burglary is asked to call DC Tony Lewis or DS Andrew Bennett at West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 146s of July 2014.
