GEEKS can now pay a visit to gaming heaven with a room devoted entirely to their favourite games.

Hide N Geek in Worcester's Reindeer Court, Mealcheapen Street now has its very own games room above the shop to bring to life the comic book worlds of space adventurers and superheroes.

The business itself was founded by young entrepreneur Simon Cooper, aged 32, but he has now set up a the games room to bring an extra level of enjoyment for customers and the merely curious.

The games room already has a selection of board games but Mr Cooper now hopes crowdfunding will pay for more.

The games room will also play host to tournaments in games like Yu-gi-oh!

From next week the room will play host to yet more games including Pokemon, Dice Masters (a Marvel dice game), HeroClix (a collectible figures game), X-Wing (a Star Wars game).

The shop opened in October 2014 as 'a geek and gamer paradise in Worcester', offering comic books, board games, role-playing games and lots of collectibles, action figures and memorabilia.

Mr Cooper said: "In terms of my business I hope it will bring in more customers but as a community thing it is very much social."

The games room is already stocked with tables and chairs. The first official games day will be on February 28.

Those who want to sponsor the games room can do so through crowdfunding by visiting indiegogo.com/projects/hide-n-geek-gaming-centre.

Donations of £25 or more will mean sponsors get a Hide N Geek T-shirt. The money will help pay for more board games and a large heater and tea and coffee.
