FATHER Christmas cannot be blamed for a washing machine - containing a full load of dirty clothes - dumped down a road plagued by flytippers.

The white goods along with garden cuttings were dumped by the side of Woodside Lane, Welland, near Malvern.

Residents are getting fed up with their road being used as a dumping ground after their road was blocked off earlier last month by a rug, bricks and garden waste.

James Eagle, who lives opposite the road on Garrett Bank, said: "It just seems so pointless.

"We are just down the road from Upton tip."

Gordon Morris, street scene manager at Malvern Hills District Council said they were concerned about the continuous flytipping down the road.

“This further flytipping in Welland is of great concern to us given it has happened near here so recently.

"We will investigate it and if we are able to identify the culprit we will take action against them.

"We will also arrange for it to be cleaned up.

"It continues to sadden us that flytipping blights our towns and villages.

"Where there is evidence we will investigate and take action against the culprits."
