A CHARITY dinner at Worcestershire County Cricket Club and a grand draw are among the ways that Worcester

Volunteer Centre is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

The centre supports voluntary action in and around the city, including running a community transport service, helping other groups find funding and support and promoting volunteering opportunities for young people.

Tickets have now gone on sale for the 25th anniversary dinner on Saturday, October 25, at the Graeme Hick Suite in New Road.

At £35 per ticket, the evening will offer a welcome drink, musical entertainment, a three course dinner, after dinner speaker and an auction.

And tickets are also available for the draw, which has a top prize of £100 and numerous other prizes available. Tickets are £1 and the draw will take place at the dinner.

Sally Ellison, the centre's chief officer said: "We're really looking forward to the dinner and, hopefully, we will be able to raise some much-needed funds for the work of the centre. We’d welcome support from local businesses whether through prizes or sponsorship, or even by attending the dinner."

Tickets for the draw and the dinner are available from the centre's office at 33 The Tything, or by contacting 01905 24741.
