TECHNOLOGY company Malvern Instruments has just donated 12 reconditioned laptop computers to Malvern-based Community First.

The donation is part of a five-year strategic partnership between the company and the community organisation, which will include volunteering and financial commitments.

The donation of the computers will help Community First to further its work to build and sustain local communities.

Malvern Instruments’ managing director Paul Walker, says he has been impressed with the work of Community First for some time and with its ability to deliver effective support to a diverse range of voluntary organisations and community groups.

Richard Quallington, chief executive of Community First, was delighted to receive the laptops and said: “Contributions such as this support our work in so many ways, not least, the money saved on purchasing new IT equipment means more resource is available for our work with communities. Recycling the laptops also helps the environment.”
