FIRE engines from Malvern and Upton were sent out after a fire was reported at a house in Corse Lawn.
The call came at 11.32am today (Thursday, December 29), and two fire engines from Gloucestershire were despatched as well.
The crews, using breathing apparatus, found a fire in a ground-floor utility room, caused by a faulty electrical supply board.
The fire was soon extinguished and engineering staff from Western Power Distribution were summoned to make the electricity supply safe.
Damage was confined to the utility room and fire fighters fitted a smoke alarm before they left.
