THE Malvern-based Fellowship of Professional Will Writers and Probate Practitioners is launching a nationwide campaign calling for regulation of the will writing industry to safeguard consumers.
The organisation says anyone can set up as a will writer and advertise their services without any training, qualifications or insurance and people should be careful who they invite into their homes and instruct to write a will.
Members are lobbying for will writing to be subject to a strict code of conduct and for all will writers to be properly qualified.
The call for regulation by the fellowship, which has offices in Great Malvern, is being supported by the Conservative parliamentary candidate Harriett Baldwin.
For more information about the fellowship contact Fran Pearce on 01452 348211 or email franpearce@10yetis.co.uk.
