WORCESTERSHIRE County Council is consulting on a potential 3.5 per cent increase on Council Tax in the new financial year.
Councillors have suggested Council Tax increases by 3.5 per cent - or £34.47 on Band D property from £984.77 to £1,018.47.
Councillors will discuss budget proposals with representatives from the business community, the voluntary sector, parish councils and staff unions over the coming weeks before Cabinet makes a final proposal in early February. Full Council will then make a decision on February 19.
The County Council’s share of the Council Tax bill is added to by the six district councils, West Mercia Police, Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and the parish councils.
