BUDDING artists from Cradley Primary School took part in a national campaign to promote drawing.
Using the theme of ‘pets’ they painted on postcards and proudly exhibited their work at the Blue-Ginger gallery in the village as part of the Big Draw 2008.
Three local artists, Valerie McLean from Ledbury, Claire Dawkins from Cradley and Hani O’Keefe from Malvern, and picture framer Miles Meager chose their favourites from each age group and presented the winners with framed certificates.
Mr Meager said: “The children had obviously put a lot of thought and care into their drawings, and visitors to the gallery have been very impressed and wanted to buy them.”
The winners were Sasha Stewart, Ben Sherrif, Kieran Harte, Hazel Dudley, Hannah Bilby, James Little, George Muntowd and Estee Coleman.
They each received a prize of having their pictures professionally framed by Mr Meager’s company Mi-Frame.
