AN intimate music event in the garden of a Birtsmorton pub will have a back-to-basics flavour with live bands and DJs to suit all tastes.
The team behind Chickenstock are taking a break from the usual weekender-style shindig for a day of music from artists such as Bianca Bohl, Edmund McGowan and Rat Tash Crew.
Organiser Barnaby Simons said: “It’s been going for several years now. Last year was the biggest thing we had done so far with 500 people on farmland in Leigh Sinton.
“There was music, theatre, comedy and food and drink.
“This year we wanted to take it back to what our original plan was of a live music event.”
The grassroots feel to the event will be evident with a relaxed atmosphere and several nods to the rural setting including the DJing equipment being set up in a wheelbarrow.
Also performing at the Farmer’s Arms, between 2pm and 10.30pm, will be My First Tooth - a band which has toured with Malvern Wells singer/songwriter Sam Isaac - and Debbie Hodgson and Loz Ruston from Worcester.
Entry is free and food and drinks will be available throughout the day including a barbecue.
