MORE than 150 people enjoyed a ‘Cheeky Monkey’ Tea Party to raise money for the National Childbirth Trust (NCT).
The event, at Leigh and Bransford Memorial Hall on Tuesday (August 5) featured music, face-painting and lots of fun and games for youngsters.
Organiser Caroline Curtis thanked everyone who helped organise the event, and everyone who came along to enjoy it, for making it a “resounding success”. She added the tea party was the most successful fundraising event the Malvern Hills NCT branch had ever held.
“It succeeded all my hopes,” she said. “The generous gift of time and effort from our volunteers, friends, neighbours and my family, along with all the donations from local businesses will mean that funds raised should easily exceed expectations and previous year’s totals.”
