Tribute to Pat

THE news about the funding for the new Malvern hospital was great to hear.

Is it too early to suggest that as a tribute to the continuing persistence and frankly bloody mindedness and hard work of Pat Merrick over so many years in her efforts to get this hospital built, it might be called The Merrick Hospital, or if this is considered a step too far, at the very least to call one of the principal wards The Merrick Ward.
