WHILE I haven't always agreed with everything that Coun Martin Eager says, I completely agree with his thoughts on the use of The Masters House, Ledbury.
For five years it has been falling more and more into disrepair and at the mercy of vandals. Before very much longer, Herefordshire Council will be saying "Oh dear, it's too expensive to repair, we will have to pull it down".
Why on earth can't the so-called precious panels be removed, the building then made into a very convenient library - which it seems to me everybody in Ledbury wants - and refurbish the youth club building - which again it seems that the youngsters want.
Ledbury Town Council must feel surplus to requirements when at every turn its views, made on behalf of the people its represents, are ignored by Herefordshire Council which appears to have no understanding of, or sympathy with, the wishes of Ledbury inhabitants.
More of you should follow Coun Eager's lead; stand up to Herefordshire Council and push for what Ledbury wants, not what Herefordshire dictates.
