Was protest not worth a mention?

A telecommunications mast, to be erected in the middle of Colwall Stone, was given the go-ahead by Herefordshire Council on August 22 without any adverse comment.

Colwall Parish Council conveyed its blessing to the project during the planning meeting.

It's nice to know our councillors did not rate a protest petition, signed by more than 200 of us, worthy of even a mention.

Our protest carried no weight whatsoever, although it was 10% of the population of the Colwall area who signed the protest petition.

Nine protest letters (which did not get a mention either) and 208 protest signatures in a small place like Colwall is a lot of protest.

Well, it is now our work starts, the mast has only been accepted, it has not been erected, and councillors can be removed and replaced.
