Be quicker

AS a Colwall resident I am disturbed to learn that the railway bridge is likely to take six months to repair. If this estimate is correct, have the engineers considered the havoc and expense this delay will cause? Have they thought of working night and day, virtually non-stop to reduce the six months? They might say that this will cost more - but will it? Our village is already suffering extra expense and what about the hauliers having to use the road over the Wyche in their massive articulated lorries?

I remember the Bailey bridges erected at Haw Bridge and Maisemore when these river bridges were damaged. Engineering has advanced leaps and bounds since those days. Has anybody thought of a temporary bridge of this nature?
