I READ with interest the letter by Mr D McCarry headed Dirt tracks' (Your Letters, August 17). I and other residents of West Malvern Road have reported on numerous occasions over a period of time, the breaking up of the road surface, producing pot holes, and stones being thrown about by passing traffic into the path of pedestrians and young children walking on the adjoining pavement. However, the last few days has seen white marker paint put down only, I must say, on certain areas of the breaking surface. Is this to warn us away or we wait in anticipation as to what, or not, might happen?
