The Old Plough, Longdon, is in between the worst flood affected areas, although thankfully we were not flooded ourselves. Our business has been seriously affected though because of the lack of access from the M5 and also due to guests who have cancelled for various reasons. We understand why guests would not want to visit the area at this time as there is a severe water shortage and many attractions are closed due to flooding, however everyone is working tremendously hard to get things back to normal and there is no doubt the area will bounce back from this crisis.
We have been in touch with all of our guests who have booked with us for the next week or so and given them the option of a full refund of their deposits or a postponement of their visit to a date of their choice. We have a great customer base, many of whom return year after year, and we are confident that this disruption will not affect our business too badly in the long term.
Please help out all of the businesses in the area by visiting us and all of our local friends in the near future.
Haydn lamb, The Old Plough, Longdon.
