I WOULD like to give a great big thank you to all those kind motorists who last Friday, July 20, drove at high speed through the floods at Tanhouse Lane. I am sure the people whose houses were flooded really appreciated the wash that surged through their properties making the flooding worse.
An even bigger thank you goes to these who believed they were above the law and decided to remove the barriers and road closed signs so they could drive through.
I understand the frustration the flooding caused but most of the motorists driving through these floods did so at high speeds and without any consideration for other people's property or even personal safety as the wash from some vehicles was producing a current that was strong enough to knock you off your feet.
If you must drive through flood water, do so slowly, have some consideration for others. If there are road closed signs and barriers up, please do not remove them and drive through, they are there for a purpose.
MARION WILKS, Tanhouse Lane, Malvern.
