I HAVE been a regular patron of Malvern Theatres for more than 20 years.

For me it provides high quality and exceptional drama, which is what I go to see, and is an opportunity to visit the beautiful surroundings.

I travel more than 80 miles each way at present to do this and have in the past travelled even further, but for me it is not only a pleasure but a thrill to see such brilliant theatre.

Based on this, it continues to amaze me that people actually sleep through a performance, despite having obviously chosen what they want to see but presumably paid for it.

Not only is this annoying, but it also shows a great lack of respect for the acting profession trying their best to tell a story.

Last Saturday evening was no exception and while I was grateful that the person in question didn't snore, which has happened on previous occasions, I would ask that if sleeping is their purpose then please don't sit on the front row in view of the whole cast!
