THE design of the proposed summit café on the Worcestershire Beacon would appear to mark the resurgence of an art movement which flourished briefly during the fourth decade of the last century.
Fine examples can still be viewed to this day displayed upon the higher elevations of the Channel Islands and along other coasts.
Surely all that is needed to set off the work is a pair of 16" Naval guns protruding from below the café and the possible titling of the result as The Navarone experience.
