REGARDING the controversy surrounding the proposal for a cable car to provide an easier and scenic route to the top of the hills, I have a suggestion.
Why not bring back the donkeys?
These could provide pretty much everything that the cable cars could, and they would not spoil anyone's view.
The investment required would be less extravagant.
And everybody loves a donkey, so they would be a tourist attraction in themselves.
