YOUR striking article on the erection of a traffic sign to flash at speeding drivers on Hornyold Road, Malvern, failed to mention that this very busy road is for large parts of the day effectively a single track due to the almost continuous line of cars parked along it.

It can take quite a lot of time to get downhill along the straight section if a succession of cars approach from the bottom end, especially if they are coming spaced out by 50 yards or so.

It is hugely frustrating that this important road is chronically obstructed by the illegal parking of residents’ cars on a public thoroughfare.

The road was made for traffic, not to be a private parking area. It’s not just drivers who are sinning!

If the residents moved their cars onto their substantial private grounds the problem might just go away!
