I REALLY appreciate the dedication of the Malvern Hills Conservators in their work to preserve the hills, but surely their brief is to preserve it for use by all people equally?

A cable car could provide access for those that are disabled as well as for those who want the thrill of gliding over the tree tops.

It need not affect the normal walking paths.

Those that are able to walk on the hills know well the joy and exhilaration of using the paths above Great Malvern but disabled people have no way of gaining access.

However, I agree that a cable car to the top of the Worcestershire Beacon may be too far too soon.

My suggestion is that we should have a short cable car system that would take people from the very beautiful but much underused Rosebank Gardens up to the Knoll near St Ann’s Well Café.

From here it would be but a short walk either to St Anne's Well or any of the other hill paths. This would not change the skyline and would be far less costly.

What a great opportunity this would provide to increase trade in Great Malvern and upgrade the facilities at the St Ann’s Well café.
