FANTASTIC donations of food are left at collection points points in local churches, care homes, the baths and the Master's House as well as being brought to the food bank itself when it is open – Wednesdays and Fridays from 10.30am until 12.30pm.
There has also been excellent support from some local companies.
Many people have signed up for regular monetary donations; this means that fresh fruit and vegetables are always available, not only now when we are receiving home-grown produce from the numerous harvest festival celebrations in churches and schools.
We do try to acknowledge all the gifts that we receive but many are left anonymously.
So thank you everyone who has contributed in any way to providing help for people who are in a crisis, not forgetting the willing band of volunteers who man the food bank.
