OVER the weekend I spent some time at Ledbury Rugby Club watching entertaining competitive matches.
On Saturday there were two senior teams playing and I'm pleased to say that Ledbury RFC was successful in both, and on Sunday after the busy junior session there was an under 17s match again in which Ledbury were successful.
I had a lovely time; the weather was glorious, the bar was open for a drink (coffee and cake in my case) the pitches looked fantastic and I watched entertaining matches.
What I find quite sad is that there were so few supporters at these matches.
Obviously, there were a few friends and family from both sides, but hardly anyone else. There are lovely facilities at the club, but it would be great if more local people came along to support the players.
