MALVERN Town Council appears to have been badly advised regarding the probability of both walls at Rose Bank Gardens totally collapsing in the same time period (Malvern Gazette, June 20).
Ratepayers’ money would be better spent on a regular survey of the condition of the walls and the premium adjusted to reflect possible maximum cost of repairs.
If the council is convinced that the wall abutting Worcester Road in particular might collapse I trust that it has made an appropriate increase in its public liability as with the possible concomitant vehicle damage, injuries, deaths and disruption claims could amount to tens of millions of pounds.
