THE island of Jersey has a law that says residents must cut back overhanging trees, shrubs and hedges by the beginning of July each year.
Wouldn't it be great if the residents of Malvern adopted a similar policy?
Then there would be no need for pedestrians to step into the road to avoid being clawed by branches reaching over the pavements.
And our town would present a neater appearance to the judges of Britain in Bloom.
So this is a plea to all owners of "natural" hedges: please think of those walking by your property!
