CAROLINE Carver's letter 'Riding Roughshod' (June 6) was superb, quite splendid.
I congratulate her for expressing so perfectly the observations of so many residents and taxpayers.
My pet hate is the use of power to suppress democratic discussion by elected members; the current Malvern Hills District Council leadership seems only able to operate in a clandestine bubble, preventing anyone from asking relevant questions.
They are overtly disrespectful of non-Tory councillors elected to be the eyes and ears of the public, their masters.
Regarding sharing chief executive roles: having officers and a selected group of Conservative-only councillors "exploring options" with Wychavon is undemocratic.
The council needs the widest possible input by way of suggestions in order that no viable alternatives are overlooked.
Malvern Hills leadership, get off of your pedestal and show us due respect.

Malvern town councillor
