IT is only a few months since Malvern Hills District Council accepted council chief executive Chris Bocock's strategic review.
Nowhere in it did he mention a review of senior managers as a way to save money.
At the time councillors asked if it could be included. But the council leaders refused to do so.
All of a sudden we are in a mad rush to share a chief executive before summer is out.
Where are the results of the senior manager review that justifies this move and why do we think we even need a chief executive?
By the time regulatory services and the refuse yard are shared out we will no longer need as many councillors let alone four-and-a-half senior managers.
