I HAVE just read SD Jones's letter (April 11) about his experience at the annual Malvern Town Council meeting.

I, too, was at that meeting and would like to point out that not all members of the public wanted the "public forum" section on the agenda moved to the beginning of the meeting.

Those that did clearly only went with one intention, and effectively hijacked the meeting for their own ends.

It was they, and not the councillors, who had complete disregard for members of the public.

Their selfishness prevented myself and others from asking questions later, questions which occurred to us during the course of the meeting arising from the very interesting items on the agenda.

The only advantage of their antics was that, as they left immediately afterwards, those of us who stayed until the end were able to enjoy the rest of the meeting, which was very informative and quite jovial.
