REGARDING Ledbury's proposed new parking rules (Reporter, March 28), this is another cynical attempt by the Herefordshire and Ledbury councils to force people to use the town's very overpriced car parks.

The off-street carparks are clearly being used as a cash cow by the councils to the detriment of the local traders and the visitors on which Ledbury depends.

Instead of wasting money on unnecessary traffic measure they should fill in the numerous potholes and resurface the roads.

These potholes are a real danger to the town's road users, especially cyclists and motorcylists.
