In the Malvern Gazette recently there have been several letters both for and against the cable car proposal.
What readers must remember is the changing age profile of not only the local population but the country as a whole.
It's all very well for the likes of myself who can reach the higher levels of the hills (just!) but there are many elderly members of the public are unable to do so. They deserve reasonable access as well.
In many ways this debate is akin to the opposition to the Waitrose proposal in the Nineties, and where would Great Malvern be now if it had been rejected.
To conclude, I feel, without any predetermination on my part, that in fairness to all concerned it should be explored further.
