THE Social Education Centre in Geraldine Road is a credit to Worcestershire County Council – a vital resource mainly serving local service users.

Well done! But, hey, here’s a good idea – why not close it and disperse everyone into various places in Worcester? It might save a few bob.

The staff won’t mind paying extra for travel into the city; they get paid so little that a bit less won’t make much difference. And anyway, their low pay means they are not important.

Not as important as the county officials, some of whom get a bigger salary than the Prime Minister!

This Christmas our councillors may attend carol services and listen to the bidding prayer ‘....let us remember the poor and helpless, the oppressed and the sick...’
